Just one simple question that cross my mind today.Being a former chef and having toured a facility in California, YES they are washed and treated with a chemical to prevent a fungus or mold growing on them during drying, most are done in a heated dehydrator and not spead on screens and sundried (very few %26quot;Tomatos%26quot; are even though they have that name), then they are spray with a light coating of mineral oil so they don%26#039;t stick in packing or when put into the little boxes kid eat, or the bag you buy in the supermarket to bake with.No they dont.i think they do and then they let them dryNope, well I don%26#039;t and I don%26#039;t know anyoe who does.no too much labor
