I have a bottle of Chimay that was left in my fridge on its side, and the label has a little picture saying not to do that, I imagine because of the yeast. Is there any problem drinking it now? Should I just wait a certain time to let it settle?Let it sit upright for some time... properly would be 24-48 hrs as recommended. You can drink it as is but note that if you are not a fan of the sediment at the bottle of the bottle there will be some in the pour.Personally, I like the sediment I think it adds to the flavor and wouldn%26#039;t have much of and issue with drinking as is. My drinking buddy Tim would have to let it sit for a bout two weeks before he would consider opening it... He did this once with a bottle of Dogfish Head 120 that was shipped on its side.I always %26quot;swirl%26quot; the bottle when it is nearly empty while I am pouring it in the glass to get all the yeast myself. If you don%26#039;t like the idea or taste of the yeast, just shake it gently (unopened) to get the yeast back into suspension, then let it stand overnight to re-settle.Bert
