What's a good Chardonney for under $10? :

I like KJ but would like to find something less expensive. I don%26#039;t like Trader Joe%26#039;s 2 buck chuck so that is out.Any Chilean Chardonnay for under $10 will probably beat any of the other ones. Chilean wines are relatively cheap for the quality and are hard to beat at the lower price ranges (IMHO).The availability will probably depend on where you live so no use in giving you specific names. Just look for the Chilean whites and you will do fine.In fact, have fun with it and but several prices from different places that cost about the same and have a wine tasting party....CheersI have tried Yellowtail and thought it was good. It%26#039;s a bit different, has a clove like taste but smooth and after a few sips it grew on me. :) I also just purchased a large bottle called Nathanson Creek and thought it was good for the price, not vinegary and pretty smooth. Also, prices are going to vary considerably depending on your state.A moderately-priced (yet still very drinkable) chardonnay, IMO, is Reeves Point from the Jacob%26#039;s Creek Winery (Australia). Around here---the middle of Pennsylvania---I can get a bottle of it for around $12, unless it%26#039;s %26quot;on sale%26quot; for a lower price.You may have to bite the bullet and spend the additional $4 or $5 for a better-quality wine. It could make the difference between a drinkable wine and one that tastes like paint thinner. Good chards have to spend some time sur-lie ageing, which means it takes a bit more time and work to make a good chard versus most other whites. White burgundies are probably the best, but they tend to charge well for it too.
