What is the Drinking age in the U.K.???? :
Planning on going there next summer when i turn 18. I want to know the age though so i can get wasted with you guys!!!!18 to buy alcohol.16 to drink but not buy with a meal in a public place/restaurant.14 to go into a pub and not drink/buy.7+ to drink in private at home and a small amount.18They start drinking when 7 years old...18 although most do it long before remember to take proof of age with you or you could risk being refused18.Some places have an over 21 policy. But the law is 18.Have a great 18th!At the moment it%26#039;s 18, but there are some people saying that they%26#039;re going to raise the age to 21.technically its 7 ... at 7 ur allowed to drink with parents at homebut to purchase alchohol and drink publicly its 18its 18 - you can drink legally with parents consent ( as in a glass of wine) at home from 5 and from 14 you can have a glass of wine with parents consent in a restaurant.Have fun - drink responsibly - don%26#039;t forget to say hi to Hewey down the giant white phone for me ;)It%26#039;s 18 but some pubs and clubs have a 21 rule. There is talk of raising it to 21 in the near future. You can have wine with a meal in a restaurant at 16 if with an adult.http://www.askcab.co.uk/youth_site/alcoh...18, you will be old enoughSame as Australia....18U r aloud at home when you want , in a restaurants you%26#039;r aloud @ 16 if you are having a meal. U are legally aloud to by drinks from the pub @ 18 if you hav proof of age, but it might be getting higher! :(18the legal drinking age is 18 yearsThe range of answers here is hilarious! The age is 18, but take either a driver%26#039;s license or passport everywhere as most places are hot on I.D.Raising the age to 21 is only a rumour, the government have never said this is gonna happen. I%26#039;ve attached an article explaining where the rumours came from, and what the government think.Legal drinking age is from 5 (five). You can drink at home or in private without breaking any lawsTo buy a drink in a bar or pub it is generally 18 - there are exceptions, but if you%26#039;ll be 18 when you get to UK you won%26#039;t have any problems. But its not sensible to get rat-arsed....you can legally buy a drink in a bar at age 18,as long as you have i.d.your passport will do,but preferably something else,in case you lose the passport!its 18 to get in to bars n club%26#039;sbut if your 16 ur aloud to sit in beer gardens and aloud a drink with your meal.its great in the Uk for bars n clubs you will love it. you need to come to leeds, Its amazing on a nightThe drinking age is 18 however the range is from about 14 + Ha! Where you heading in the UK?under 5 - may only be given alcohol on medical order 5 and over - may consume alcohol at home. It is only illegal for those aged 5-18 to drink alcohol on licensed premises under 14 may not be present in the bar of licensed premises unless accompanied by a person over 18 and it is before 9pm 14 and over - may be in the bar of licensed premises during permitted hours at licensee%26#039;s discretion Under 16 may be present in a restaraunt etc where alcohol is served with a meal and at the licensee%26#039;s discretion may consume (but not purchase) alcohol bought by a parent or guardian16 and over - may purchase beer, porter, cider, or perry with a meal in an eating area on licensed premises (In Scotland wine also)Under 18 - may not purchase or be supplied with or consume alcohol in a bar16-18 May not be employed in bar of a licensed premises, unless as part of a Modern Apprenticeship Scheme 18 and over - Legal to drink in bars and restaurants. May be pushed up to 21 soonStart drinking from the age of 13 upwards but legally it is 18It%26#039;s 18 for now, but there are rumours that its going up. Don%26#039;t know how true that is though...18 but you need ID to get in to some places, at weekends most places like clubs are over 21%26#039;s.16yrs. Now don%26#039;t get too plastered! Haa!It has been changed from 16yrs to 18yrs. Go to Shorditch, it%26#039;s a really cool placeit depends where you go glasgow is 8,liverpool is 7,inverness is 9 months.
Have you ever lost a recipe? :
I lost a wonderful recipe for raisin and oatmeal cookies. I never found it, unfortunately. Nor have I found a recipe better that it was. I have put a bunch of recipes in my computer now, so even if I lost the paper one I will still have it.
